Gary Neville has hailed the quality in the Chelsea squad, and believes this Chelsea team has what it takes to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool if they make just two more additions.
It’s been seven years since Chelsea last won the Premier League under Antonio Conte, and the Blues are currently rebuilding their squad for success in the near future.
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has identified striker Nicolas Jackson and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez as the key positions Chelsea must upgrade to achieve success in the Premier League.
“I think we know where their deficiencies lie,” Neville said on Sky Sports’ ‘The Gary Neville Podcast’.
“If they had a world-class striker and goalkeeper, I think they can really be a threat to the top teams.”
Neville praised Jackson’s potential but feels Chelsea need a world-class striker to thrive at the top.
Nicolas Jackson has started the season in fine form, with 5 goals in 8 Premier League games.
Chelsea fans are beginning to see the worth of the 23-year-old striker.
