The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah are top penalty takers, who are almost certain to score a goal from the spot.

And then there’s a certain Cole Palmer. When it comes to penalties, Cole Palmer can raise his shoulders high along with some of these world-class players.

When asked whom he’d choose if his life was to depend on one penalty kick, Cole Palmer picked none other but himself.

 He simply replied: “Me.”

If I were Cole Palmer, I’d definitely pick myself; I mean, the lad is yet to miss a penalty kick.

He scored nine penalty goals for the Blues last season in the Premier League and has scored once in the 2024-25 campaign.

Cole Palmer is also enjoying a fine start to the season with six goals and five assists in nine appearances so far.
