England boss Lee Carsley has spoken highly of Chelsea star Cole Palmer.

Cole Palmer has been brilliant for Chelsea since joining the club last season, and he has looked even better this season.

Lee Carsley is happy to have back Cole Palmer in the England fold, after he missed the last international window.

“Cole is in fantastic form,” interim England boss Lee Carsley told a press conference about Cole Palmer.

“He’s carried that into this week. Such an exciting player, a player I’ve worked with for 4-5 years now.

“Cole, along with a lot of other attacking players who have put themselves into a great position to start the game.”

Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke have formed a fine partnership in the Chelsea attack this season, and Carsley also spoke about the opportunity to play Palmer with his Chelsea teammate Noni Madueke.

“Cole was injured in the first camp but to see him and Noni playing so well at Chelsea is brilliant for us and definitely something we’re looking at,” the coach added.

Cole Palmer has assisted all four of Noni Madueke’s goals this season.
