Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has given positive remarks about current England boss Lee Carsley.

Lee Carsley is currently England head coach on interim basis, and Levi Colwill has admitted he has instilled confidence in the England squad.

“He has a bit of arrogance about the team and himself in terms of: ‘We’ve got the best players in the world and we all believe that,’” Colwill says.

“We can take it that next step to winning a huge competition. Cars focuses on how we are going to play and how we are going to hurt teams, which is the most important thing in football.”

Lee Carsley himself has revealed how impressed he has been with the performance of Cole Palmer.

You’d recall that Cole Palmer was often benched by former England boss Gareth Southgate.

Carsley is happy to have back Cole Palmer in the England fold, after he missed the last international window.

“Cole is in fantastic form,” interim England boss Lee Carsley told a press conference about Cole Palmer.

“He’s carried that into this week. Such an exciting player, a player I’ve worked with for 4-5 years now.

“Cole, along with a lot of other attacking players who have put themselves into a great position to start the game.”
