Two key Chelsea players suspended for Liverpool game after Forest draw

Chelsea

Chelsea could only get a point against Nottingham Forest, as both sides played out a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea went behind immediately after the restart, but levelled the scores through Noni Madueke eight minutes afterwards.

Forest played the final phase of the game with a man down, after the sending off of James Ward-Prowse. However, Chelsea were unable to make their advantage count.

In the course of the game, Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana both picked up their fifth yellow cards of the Premier League campaign.

According to Premier League rules, both players have automatically been handed a one-game ban, after accumulating five yellow cards.

With Chelsea to play Liverpool away at Anfield after the international break, Cucurella and Wesley Fofana will both miss the game.

After seven round of league matches, Chelsea are 4th on the table, and find themselves four points  behind leaders Liverpool.
