Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter has slammed the culture at Chelsea, as regards their decision to sack the manager at any slight drop in results.
Potter took over as Chelsea manager following the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel, and was appointed manager in September 2022 but was handed marching orders in April 2023.
Potter has claimed there was more pressure on him at Chelsea because of circumstances beyond his control, and the reason for the drop in form wasn’t entirely his fault.
Potter told The Telegraph: “I take responsibility for the results.
“I’ve never said I’ve ever been perfect and you live and you learn, and you are grateful for the opportunity and grateful for the experience you had there. But there’s probably a context that has appeared.
“The easy solution is Chelsea aren’t winning, so it must be the coach who has never worked at this level before, he’s the problem.
“That might not be 100 per cent wrong, but it’s not 100 per cent right.”
