Chelsea paid £54m to sign Pedro Neto from Wolves over the summer transfer window.
However, Pedro Neto will have to battle a host of star names to make the Chelsea starting team – as Enzo Maresca has a star-studded attack.
Neto started the Carabao Cup game against Barrow, and has now featured in seven of Chelsea’s eight games so far this season. However, he has started just three games, frequently coming off the bench as a substitute.
Pedro Neto has admitted it’s a new situation for him, but has vowed to work very hard to win a starting shirt.
“In Wolverhampton, I was going to play maybe 90 per cent of the games,” said Pedro Neto, who joined Chelsea last month.
“Here I have to work [to start games]. It makes you play even better.
“With the quality we have, no one can sleep. It’s the mentality that I hope can take us to the top.”
