Robert Sanchez was a hero for Chelsea against Bournemouth, as the Blues defeated Bournemouth 1-0 away at the Vitality Stadium.

Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez made a crucial save to deny Evanilson from the spot, as he dived the right way.

Robert Sanchez has revealed that he put Evanilson under pressure by continually looking at him without making a move.

“First, giving the penalty away was difficult, I couldn’t get out of the way,” said Robert Sanchez.

“Good from the referee to not send me off!

“Then the penalty, I was looking at the guy [Evanilson] – when the keeper dives early he tends to switch the ball so I stood until the last second.

“Good decision, good save. You need to be ready. This is the level.”

Robert Sanchez’s penalty save afforded Chelsea the opportunity to win the game, with Christopher Nkunku scoring a late winner.
