Jadon Sancho signed up for Chelsea on transfer deadline day, having fallen out with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.
Sancho made his Chelsea debut as he came on as a substitute against Bournemouth.
Sancho replaced Pedro Neto at half-time, and had a very good game. Sancho was very exciting on the left flank, and assisted Christopher Nkunku for the winner late in the game.
Speaking after the game, Sancho said he was thrilled to make his Chelsea debut.
“It’s amazing to make my debut for Chelsea, just being back playing, I’m very grateful,” Jadon Sancho told Sky Sports after the Bournemouth win.
“The team played very well, we dug into the end and got the three points.
“I’ve been working hard for this moment and I’m happy I got my chance.
“I had a great end to last season, being in the Champions League final. Going into this season, I wanted to have a good start and I’m happy.
“I have to say thank you to the staff and team-mates. The first day I came in, they made me feel welcome and this comfortable.”
