Jadon Sancho watched on as Chelsea played a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace before the international break.

Enzo Maresca has been delighted with the signing of Jadon Sancho, and has spoken highly of the new signing from Manchester United.

However, Enzo Maresca failed to say whether Sancho will make his Chelsea debut against Bournemouth.

“Jadon is one of our wingers,” Maresca told a press conference.

“I’m seeing the exact way I expected of him. He is a very good player in the last third, one-v-one, quality in the last third, so he is exactly the player we were looking at. It’s a matter of finding the right moment for him and to give him a chance.”

Sancho joined Chelsea on an initial loan that is set to become a permanent move for around £25million next summer.

For Enzo Maresca, he doesn’t see the signing of Sancho as a risk.

“First of all I don’t consider Jadon a risk because I consider Jadon as a player who can help us,” Maresca said.

“With the way we play he is that kind of player to help us a lot, especially in the last third when we arrive there so many times and need more quality, more patience, more accuracy.

“I love Jadon, I love the players we have. The reason Jadon is here is because I love him, otherwise he would not be here.”
