Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana has been one of the players deemed to have been left out of Enzo Maresca’s plans for the season.

According to reporter Nizaar Kinsella, David Datro Fofana is now set to join AEK Athens on loan with the club having the option to buy him permanently.

Fofana was close to joining the Greek club over the summer but the transfer collapsed in the final stages.

The permanent fee for Fofana could be around £20m.

The 21-year-old will now be the 41st player to leave Chelsea on loan this summer.
