Chelsea have been a laughing stock in the football world, since the BlueCo partnership took over the club.
Chelsea’s transfer strategy has been mocked continually ever since, and Germany national team coach Julian Nagelsmann is the latest to make fun of Chelsea.
In a recent press conference, Julian Nagelsmann took a jab at Chelsea’s transfer policy.
Nagelsmann, who has been critical of the club’s approach to signing new players, said, “You bring in three or four players per transfer period. OK, there are also clubs like Chelsea.”
Nagelsmann then emphasised the importance of squad composition and personnel selection, highlighting the difference between his role and that of a club manager.
“You have to be aware that your main influence is the squad, and not the training or the tactics in the game,” he said.
Nagelsmann who was once linked with the Chelsea job before Chelsea appointed Mauricio Pochettino, suggest that he believes Chelsea’s transfer policy is unsustainable and that the club’s constant influx of new players can be detrimental to team cohesion and success.
