According to a recent survey conducted by The Athletic, a large chunk of Chelsea supporters have lost faith in the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital-led ownership of the club.
80% of Chelsea supporters, out of 1,105 respondents admitted they have lost confidence in the club’s ownership following the events of the summer transfer window.
The survey’s findings reveal the discontent among fans regarding the club’s approach to transfers.
Asked how happy they are with the club’s summer 2024 transfer window overall, the single most popular option among the respondents (37.2 per cent) was “unsure”.
But a combined 42.7 per cent said they were either “unhappy” or “very unhappy” with Chelsea’s transfer business, compared to a combined 20.1 per cent who said they were “happy” or “very happy”:
From the survey, it revealed that the supporters were discontent following some unpopular departures from Stamford Bridge this summer — with fan favourites Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah, having to leave.
There’s also a belief from the fans that Chelsea also failed to address their biggest needs with their signings, following the inability to sign a top striker.
Are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the current ownership?
They’re good fit for the club.. their plans is going to work perfectly.. trust the process for nothing good comes easy.. we must noted that!!!
