Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has sealed a shock move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Osimhen has signed a one-year loan deal with Galatasaray, after a failed move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea and Osimhen’s camp were in talks for a possible move on transfer deadline day, but both parties couldn’t reach an agreement.
In the end, Osimhen had to settle for a move to Turkey, as the transfer window of most European leagues have also been shut.
Manchester City midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan, has branded Victor Osimhen’s move from Napoli to Galatasaray as “crazy”.
Gundogan, who has Turkish roots, simply commented on a post by Fabrizio Romano and said: “wow… crazy”.
It is understood that the deal has a break clause in January, which will allow the Napoli striker leave for another club if Galatasaray receive a fee.
Gundogan himself was involved in a shock summer transfer move, as he returned to City as a free agent this summer after only one year at Barcelona.
Barcelona had to terminate his contract, as they couldn’t afford his wages.
