Ben Chilwell was one of the players banished from the first team squad under new boss Enzo Maresca.
Enzo Maresca had made it clear that Chilwell wasn’t in his plans for the season.
Raheem Sterling, Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah who were surplus to requirements at Chelsea left the club on deadline day. However, the likes of Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and David Datro Fofana remain on the club’s books despite them not being in Enzo Maresca’s plans.
According to a report from Football Insider, Ben Chilwell is in no rush to leave Chelsea despite not being in the manager’s plans.
Chilwell was linked with a move to Manchester United but it wasn’t concrete.
The transfer window may have been shut in the Premier League, however the transfer window in Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Portugal and the Netherlands remains open.
According to The Football Insider, Chilwell is in no rush to leave the club, and will rather evaluate his options.
