Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea were dominant in the first-half and deservedly took the lead. The Blues dropped their performance in the second period, and Palace struck with an early second half goal.
Chelsea boss unleashed all his attacking threats in Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku, Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix all to no avail.
Deadline day signing Jadon Sancho watched on as his new team-mates failed to beat Crystal Palace.
Enzo Maresca admitted Jadon Sancho would have been helpful in this game against Palace, as the Eagles played a low block.
Maresca said: “Jadon is a player that is here because we like that kind of player, especially in the last third against low blocks like today.
“When you face a team like today, low block, and you do not create, then you can say, ‘OK, we need this player or that player’.
“But in these kinds of games, even with a low block, we had five, six or seven clear chances. There are not many things you can do to win the game.
“For sure, if you take the chance, the game changes completely, if you give them a second yellow card, the game changes completely.”
