Nicolas Jackson has extended his stay with Chelsea, after penning a new contract.

Nicolas Jackson has signed an extension to his deal which will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2033.

According to Enzo Maresca, Chelsea have been impressed with the young striker, which is why Jackson was given a new contract.

“The only thing I know is he’s signing a new contract – I don’t know how many years,” Maresca said after the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

“I’m very happy. Nicolas is doing a fantastic job with us, on and off the ball. He scored already two goals [this season]. He scored again today. He had another two chances but we are happy with him.

“I have faith, and the club also, even before. Not because we are looking for another striker; not that we don’t trust Nicolas. We trust Nicolas.

“I said last week when the transfer window was still open – he is doing fantastic with us. I am very happy with him.”

Nicolas Jackson scored Chelsea’s only goal against Palace, and the Senegal international now has eight goals in his past eight matches.
