A rotated Chelsea side were beaten 2-1 by Servette away in Switzerland.
Christopher Nkunku had put Chelsea ahead from the penalty spot in the second-half, but Chelsea conceded two goals to give game an edgy feel.
Speaking after the game, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca singled out youngster Tyrique George for praise, insisting he ‘had personality’.
Tyrique George was named on the bench for the second-leg clash, and the 18-year-old wonderkid came on for Noni Madueke on 62 minutes.
Tyrique George was able to impress Enzo Maresca in the 30 minutes he spent on the pitch.
“He was good!” Maresca said after the match.
“He was not shy. He had personality. We also had Josh Acheampong on the bench.
“Unfortunately [Ollie] Harrison was not on the bench. It’s important to build something with the academy players.”
