Just some weeks ago, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca had said he wasn’t sure whether Noni Madueke will leave the club or be sold.

With the signing of Pedro Neto and Joao Felix, coupled with the presence of Christopher Nkunku and Cole Palmer, Madueke was bound to struggle for minutes.

However, recent reports have claimed that Chelsea are no longer prepared to entertain any offer for Noni Madueke after being impressed by the 22-year-old’s development.

Newcastle United wanted Madueke but refused to offer Chelsea the chance to make a profit on Madueke, instead looking to pay around £30m.

Chelsea rejected Newcastle’s offer, hoping they’d come back with something better.

Since then, Madueke has impressed for Chelsea, with four goals in his last two appearances.

Following his stellar performance against Wolves, Chelsea have made it clear that Madueke is no longer available for sale.

The 22-year-old has even gotten a call-up from England national team for the first time.

“I can judge Noni’s performance, and it has been fantastic, not only in the second half, but also in the first half,” Enzo Maresca said after the Wolves game.

“Since day one I said that he’s the kind of winger I really like, he’s working really hard with us. The best thing was the way he defended, after 90 minutes when Wolves had a counter-attack out there he was tracking back.

“The mentality I’m demanding from the players, he’s delivering.”
