Cole Palmer has started the season on fire for Chelsea, as he already has a goal and three assists to his name in just two games of the new Premier League season.

The 22-year-old decided to leave Manchester City last summer and has thrived at Chelsea since them.

Cole Palmer only just signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea, but Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes the Chelsea star will join Manchester United next summer.

Speaking on The Overlap, Jamie Carragher said: “You know what, something has just come to me here.

“If Chelsea have another poor season, we were talking about Manchester United having a real problem on that right wing.

“Cole Palmer is a big Man United fan, isn’t he? Would that not be something that Man United should visit in 12 months if it doesn’t go well?

“You know what, I think that could happen. Yeah, Cole Palmer going to Man United [in the summer of 2025].”
