Chelsea have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Mike Penders from Genk.

The 19-year-old will join the club next summer, but will spend the 2024-25 season on loan with Genk.

Chelsea will pay €20m for his services, including add-ons.

Mike Penders has signed a contract with Chelsea until 2032.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea pushed strongly to sign Mike Penders due to the positive scouting reports on the teenager.

Scouting reports claim that Penders has the potential to be the next Thibaut Courtois, which made Chelsea push for the Belgian.
