Armando Broja’s move to Ipswich Town is in danger of collapsing, few days to the end of the summer transfer window.
Ipswich had agreed a deal with Chelsea for striker Armando Broja. One of the conditions was that Ipswich would sign Broja for £30m if they managed to stay up in their first year back in the Premier League.
Armando Broja was set to join Ipswich Town and Fabrizio Romano had even given his ‘here we go’ stamp of approval, but what could now be happening?
According to reports, there is a serious prospect of the deal collapsing over paperwork issues which have nothing to do with Chelsea. The move is not completely off, but Ipswich are believed to be looking at alternative options in attack for McKenna.
Jacob Steinberg reports: “The move has dragged on and it is understood that there is a serious prospect of it collapsing over paperwork issues which are nothing to do with Chelsea.
“The move is not completely off but Ipswich are believed to be looking at alternative options in attack for McKenna.”
Romano has also verified the latest reports, claiming: “Armando Broja’s move to Ipswich Town from Chelsea could collapse as there are issues after formal steps in last 48h.
“Unlikely to happen at this stage with all parties now exploring different solutions as Jacob Steinberg reports.”
