Official: Joao Felix Returns to Chelsea

Chelsea Football Club has officially secured the permanent signing of Portuguese forward Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.

The 24-year-old, who has already made a significant impression during his loan spell at Stamford Bridge in the 2022/23 season, has committed his future to the Blues by signing a seven-year contract.

Felix, an integral part of the Portugal national team, brings with him a wealth of experience and versatility in attack.

Known for his skill and flair, Felix scored four goals in 20 appearances during his previous stint at Chelsea, quickly becoming a fan favorite with his dynamic performances.

The forward began his professional career with Benfica, where his exceptional talent quickly caught the eye of European giants.

His move to Atletico Madrid in 2019 broke transfer records for both clubs, and during his time in Spain, Felix helped Atletico secure the La Liga title.

Now, Felix returns to Chelsea, adding depth and flexibility to Enzo Maresca’s attacking options.

His ability to play in multiple forward positions makes him a valuable asset as the team looks to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season.

Felix will join his new teammates for training in the coming days, as he looks to build on his previous success in Chelsea blue.

With 41 international caps and titles in both Portugal and Spain, Felix’s return to Stamford Bridge is set to be one of the most exciting moves of the summer.

Welcome back to Chelsea, Joao!
