Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid, on a permanent deal.

Joao Felix who had once joined Chelsea on loan, returns to Chelsea, adding depth and flexibility to Enzo Maresca’s attacking options.

His ability to play in multiple forward positions makes him a valuable asset as the team looks to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has admitted he’s happy with the signing, and revealed where Joao Felix can play.

“He’s a good player. He’s a talent. The club already knows him,” said the Chelsea boss.

“The good thing is he can play different positions for us: inside, nine, outside. This is the reason why.”

When asked if he would be available for Chelsea’s clash with Servette on Thursday, he said: “He’s not in the list for tomorrow’s game.”

Felix will join his new teammates for training in the coming days, as he looks to build on his previous success in Chelsea blue.
