Since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took over as Chelsea owners, Chelsea have yet to qualify for the Champions League.
The new owners have sacked multiple managers, but the Blues don’t seem to be heading in any direction yet.
New manager Enzo Maresca, has revealed that he hasn’t been given any expectations to finish in a Champions League place this season by the Chelsea owners or board.
When asked if the club’s hierarchy had set any targets for the season, Maresca responded: “Just to have the feeling that we are going in the right direction.”
“This is a very good target already when the owner, sporting directors, the manager and the players all have the same idea – that we are going in the same direction.
“If it is not now then probably it could be in one month, two months, in one year but we will be there very soon.”
