According to reports, there is tension between Atletico Madrid and Chelsea following the Samu Omorodion saga.

After agreeing a fee with Atletico, and personal terms with Samu Omorodion, Chelsea decided to back out last minute, much to the annoyance of Atletico Madrid.

TalkSPORT now claim that Atletico Madrid are now threatening Chelsea that they will pull out of signing Conor Gallagher after the Blues made a U-turn on signing Samu Omorodion.

Conor Gallagher has been left in an awkward position as Atletico Madrid struggle to complete his signing from Chelsea.

The Englishman has already passed medical tests with the club and even posed for pictures. However, a deal is now pending.

Gallagher has spent the last five days living in a hotel room. He has also been training all on his own rather than with the Atletico Madrid squad.

The Chelsea academy product has gotten stuck amid the uncertainty over when the transfer can be finalised. The midfielder is yet to sign his contract with the La Liga side.

Conor Gallagher is expected to fly back to London on Tuesday if there is no breakthrough in his £33.7 million move to Atletico Madrid from Chelsea.

Telegraph Sport understands that Chelsea and Atletico have recommended Gallagher returns home for his own well-being unless there is significant progress in the coming hours.
