Pedro Neto has already shared his thoughts with Blues manager Enzo Maresca on where he believes he can be most effective on the pitch.

Neto, who is on the verge of completing a £51 million transfer from Wolves to Chelsea, has expressed his versatility and willingness to play wherever needed.

However, when asked about his preferred position, Neto provided insights that will be invaluable for Maresca as he looks to integrate the winger into his tactical setup.

The winger, who has shown his prowess on both flanks during his time at Wolves, has hinted that he feels most comfortable operating on the right side of the attack.

“When I’m on the right, I have more options: bringing the ball to the middle or going outside,” Neto said.

“I always say that if I’m running on the pitch I am happy! I will play in any position. I don’t feel any difference.”

Neto’s preference doesn’t rule out his effectiveness on the left wing, where he can be more direct and vertical.

He explained, “When I’m on the left I would be more vertical, but on the right I have more options: bringing the ball to the middle or going outside.”

This ability to cut inside onto his stronger left foot or take on defenders down the wing makes him a dual threat, capable of unsettling even the most disciplined defenses.
