Warning sent to Chelsea as the Blues lose another game in pre-season

Chelsea were beaten 2-1 by Real Madrid in the pre-season tour of US.

Real Madrid raced to an early lead with Lucas Vazquez scoring in the 16th minute, and Brahim Diaz doubled the scores shortly after. Noni Madueke scored one for Chelsea just before the break.

The second-half was played at a slower tempo without much happening, as the game ended 2-1 to Real Madrid.

It marked yet another defeat for Chelsea, as Chelsea’s poor pre-season form continues under Enzo Maresca.

The Daily Mail warned in its post-match report that Chelsea are getting used to losing, with the new Premier League season just about to kick off.

Their report reads: “Chelsea are getting in the habit of losing.

“Yes, it may only be pre-season but don’t forget that the Premier League starts in just over a week.

“If the Blues play anything like they did today against Manchester City on the opening day, they will get battered.

“Enzo Maresca has little time to get that defence sorted, but it needs to be done pronto.

“Am I being harsh? I don’t think so.”
