Chelsea are edging closer to completing the deal to sign Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are currently working on the sale of both Armando Broja and David Datro Fofana.

Broja and Fofana are expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer window, which will open up space for Omorodion in Enzo Maresca’s squad.

Chelsea currently have Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu in the striking role for the 2024-25 season.

The reason why Broja was not in the Chelsea squad for the Real Madrid clash is because he’s being prepared for a summer exit.

20-year-old Samu Omorodion is still a young striker, but one with lots of potential. He scored 8 goals in 34 league matches for Alaves last season, as they got relegated from the Spanish La Liga.

Meanwhile, Conor Gallagher is close to sealing a move to Atletico Madrid, while Samu Omorodion joins Chelsea.
