Chelsea are on the verge of completing a £35m deal for Atletico striker Samu Omorodion.

Chelsea have already signed up Marc Guiu from Barcelona, and currently have Nicolas Jackson who was the main striker last season.

If Samu joins the club, Chelsea will have six first-team strikers: Samu Omorodion, Jackson, Guiu, Lukaku, Datro Fofana and Broja. This will be a bit much, as Enzo Maresca usually starts one centre-forward.

However, Lukaku, Datro Fofana and Broja are all expected to leave this summer.

Guiu could still leave on a loan deal, but Enzo Maresca has so far been impressed with the teenager from Barcelona.

As per Nicolas Jackson, he’s yet to test himself under Enzo Maresca.

Nevertheless, The Telegraph report that Chelsea believe in Nicolas Jackson, and think there will be plenty of games for everyone to get enough playing time.

Jackson can also play out wide, which will make him available for more games.

Jackson scored 14 goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season.
