Chelsea are making significant moves in the transfer market as the Blues look to bolster their squad before the end of the current window.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are in advanced talks with Atletico Madrid to secure the signing of Samu Omorodion for a fee of around £35 million.

Omorodion, who spent last season on loan at Granada, impressed with his performances, scoring eight goals in 34 LaLiga appearances last season.

The young forward is also part of Spain’s squad at the Olympics, where he found the net against Egypt in the group stages.

Despite interest from AC Milan, Roma, Napoli, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham, Chelsea are hopeful of landing the talented striker, who joined Atletico in August 2023 on a five-year contract.

In addition to Omorodion, Chelsea are also pursuing Napoli’s star forward, Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian international has been a standout performer in Serie A, contributing significantly to Napoli’s title win in the 2022-23 season.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli from Lille in 2020 for a club record £80 million, has scored an impressive 76 goals in 133 appearances for the Italian club.

His current contract, extended in December, includes a release clause reportedly set at €130 million (£113 million), reflecting his value and importance to Napoli.

As part of the deal to bring Osimhen to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are exploring the possibility of sending Romelu Lukaku to Napoli. Lukaku, who has spent the last two seasons on loan, is expected to leave Chelsea on a permanent basis.

The third target for Chelsea is 16-year-old Gabriel Mec from Gremio. The Blues are reportedly closing in on the young midfielder for a fee of £20 million.

Mec is considered one of the brightest talents in Brazil, and his addition would be a strategic investment in the club’s future.

These potential signings highlight Chelsea’s ambition to strengthen the squad under the guidance of manager Enzo Maresca.

With the transfer window deadline approaching, the club’s fans will be eager to see if these deals come to fruition and how they will impact the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
