According to confirmed reports, Conor Gallagher has agreed terms with Atletico Madrid, with Chelsea set to receive €40 million for him.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed: “Conor Gallagher has verbally agreed terms and said YES to join Atletico Madrid!

“‘Here we go’ to follow today after formal steps, five-year deal.

“Two PL clubs tried to enter the race but Gallagher considered two options: sign new two-year deal at Chelsea or join Atlético.

“Proposal accepted tonight on contract valid until June 2029, waiting for formal steps later today.”

Meanwhile, it was claimed that Conor Gallagher was banned from training with the Chelsea first team.

“At the moment, there is not any update on that,” the manager said.

“The only thing I can say is that he was in contact with the club to find a solution. I don’t think it’s something new.

“In football, every summer, different clubs have some problems with some players, and then at the end, they find a solution and everyone is happy. Hopefully the same can happen in this situation.”
