Enzo Fernandez was in the heat of things after Argentina won the Copa America.

The Chelsea midfielder recorded a video of he and his Argentina teammates chanting some offensive lyrics about the France black players.

Following a wide outrage, even among Chelsea players of France nationality, many wondered how Enzo Fernandez will fit back into the squad.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca has revealed what transpired, as Enzo Fernandez rejoined the Chelsea squad on their USA pre-season tour.

According to Enzo Maresca, he had a meeting with Enzo Fernandez and some of the affected players, and everything is alright now.

Enzo Maresca said: “We all feel very comfortable and very good. Enzo had a chat with all of us to clarify there was no bad intention. The lads all accepted it. And since last night everyone was together, speaking and laughing.

“The meeting was between Enzo, me and some players. Nothing more to add. There’s no mystery. We all make mistakes. He apologised four or five times. It all went as I expected.”
