News of Victor Osimhen signing for Chelsea have started to make the rounds again.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Chelsea are in discussions with Napoli over Victor Osimhen.

The deal would see Romelu Lukaku join the Italian side, while Victor Osimhen will go the other way on loan, David Ornstein claimed.

Victor Osimhen’s agent has now reacted to the news, calling for some respect to Osimhen.

He responded: “I read about ‘fantasy exchanges’ with Victor… as if he was a package to be delivered quickly.

“This package is the top scorer of the third Scudetto in the history of Napoli. Respect and stop fake news!”

Osimhen was poised to join PSG on a permanent move, but the move has stalled as both sides have been unable to reach an agreement over a transfer fee.

Osimhen has scored 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli since joining from Lille in 2020. Osimhen scored 15 goals in the Serie A last season.
