A fan nicknamed Spike sent this message to the BBC: “Chelsea should tear up Maresca’s contract before the season starts. And whoever is in charge of transfers needs to go with him!

“The team already look far worse than last season. From what I’ve seen so far, this could well be Chelsea’s last season as a Premier League club!”
