Chelsea are reportedly closing in on Villarreal goalkeeper, Filip Jorgensen, as a replacement for Djordje. Petrovic.
Chelsea have made a first bid in the region of €20 million for the 21-year-old Danish shot-stopper.
Filip Jorgensen is also said to be interested in a move to Chelsea, and has told Villarreal so.
Enzo Maresca was asked about Chelsea’s links with goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen after the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Wrexham.
The Chelsea boss admitted that anything could happen in the transfer window.
He said: “We will see [regarding a new goalkeeper]. We have four goalkeepers. Petro has an injury. When the transfer window is open, anything can happen for us.”
Enzo Maresca also refused to comment on any player in particular as he said: “I don’t talk about players in other teams.”
When asked about Robert Sanchez he added: “Robert did very well tonight. For sure, the way we want to play, the goalkeeper is very important. I am very happy with Robert.”
