Gareth Southgate is no longer head coach of the England national team, as he vacated the job after Euro 2024.
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has been linked with the vacant England job, and has been backed by Harry Redknapp.
Writing in The Sun, former Spurs head coach Harry Redknapp backed Chelsea legend Frank Lampard for the England vacancy.
Redknapp told the Sun: “I doubt there are many who’d agree with me either, when I say the FA should look no further than Steven Gerrard or Frank Lampard for the next Three Lions boss.
“Either of them could do the job standing on their head, yet probably neither will get so much as a phone call. Mind you, plenty of people will insist there’s no reason why they should because they’ve already written off both as failures.
“Forgetting that Frank reached an FA Cup final and finished fourth in his first spell at Chelsea. Or the fact that Everton were in such a mess, he never had a prayer when he went there.”
If Lampard gets the job, Cole Palmer will get to play under the Chelsea legend.
Former Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate never really gave Palmer a fair shot, which Palmer proved that he deserved.
England need more of a proven coach as Jurgen Klopp, and other good coaches out there and not frank lampard at all..
