Chelsea only recently signed up Marc Guiu from Barcelona.
Chelsea are now targeting another young and talented Barcelona player.
According to El Nacional, Chelsea have made a move to sign 17-year-old centre-back Pau Cubarsi from Barcelona, and have submitted a proposal worth almost €70m.
Chelsea had previously attempted to sign Cubarsi last summer but have now returned with a fresh offer for the highly-rated youngster.
Cubarsi broke into the Barcelona first team last season, and has already established himself as a regular starter in the heart of the defence for Barcelona.
It may be near impossible for Chelsea to snap up Pau Cubarsi, as he recently agreed to a new contract that will see him earn €4m in his first year, increasing to €12m by the 2028-29 season.
The deal also includes a staggering €1 billion buyout clause, which will definitely scare any club. So, the onus is on Barcelona to sell or keep.
