Chelsea finished in sixth place last season, as the Blues found form late in the season to move from 12th to 6th.
Many will be wondering how Chelsea’s next season will turn out under a new manager, Enzo Maresca.
Former Aston Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor has said he’s backing Chelsea to finish in the top four next season.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said: “I think there’s so much competition now. I don’t think Manchester United and Aston Villa will make the top four.
“Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United are going to get better next season, as will Chelsea and Tottenham.
“I see Man City winning it again and Arsenal as their closest challengers. If Liverpool hit it off with their new manager they will be in third place and I think Chelsea will really improve and they’ll be in fourth.”
Meanwhile, Marc Cucurella’s agent has revealed what the in-form full-back will do after Chelsea tried to offload him last summer.
Marc Cucurella has been brilliant for Spain in the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament.
Cucurella’s brilliance has helped Spain reach the final of Euro 2024, starring in the left-back role.
Interestingly, Chelsea tried to sell Cucurella to Manchester United last summer, and the Spaniard wasn’t too important to the team in the first half of the season.
Cucurella however turned his season around and was one of Chelsea’s best players towards the end of last season.
Cucurella has taken his fine form to Spain for the Euros, and there are now talks of his future at Stamford Bridge.
Cucurella’s agent has however insisted that the Chelsea left-back will continue in London, as he’s happy at Chelsea.
“Cucurella is very comfortable and happy at Chelsea and in London,” Aleix Pique told La Cadena SER.
“His idea is to stay at the club. Under normal circumstances, he will continue there.”
