England are through to the final of Euro 2024, after coming from behind to beat Netherlands 2-1.

Xavi Simons had given the Dutch side an early lead, just after seven minutes, but Harry Kane restored parity from the spot slightly after ten minutes.

It was a tight game in the second-half, and Gareth Southgate decided to introduce Cole Palmer for Phil Foden in the 81st minute, with Ollie Watkins also coming on for Harry Kane.

The two substitutes combined to seal the victory for England, with Cole Palmer laying on a fine assist for Watkins to score, with just a minute left of added time.

It was an incredible feat for Ollie Watkins and England, and one that will forever remain in the mind of the Aston Villa striker.

Ollie Watkins has disclosed that he actually predicted Cole Palmer will lay on an assist for him.

Speaking to reporters after the incredible victory, the 28-year-old said: “I swear on my kids’ life, I told Cole Palmer earlier today, we’d be coming on and he’d set me up and I’d score. And it happened.”
