Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion has reacted to rumours surrounding his future.

Chelsea have reportedly had two bids turned down by Atletico Madrid for the towering striker, with one in excess of €40m.

According to reports, Atletico Madrid want at least €70m for Omorodion – a fee Chelsea are unwilling to match.

Samu Omorodion has now stated that he doesn’t care about his valuation and the transfer rumours, as he’s only focused on Atletico Madrid.

He said: “That’s to do with the market, I don’t control those things. They are prices that are set and whether it is exorbitant or not, I don’t know, but I don’t get involved in that, I don’t care about it at all, I always want to achieve the best for myself and right now I am focused on Atletico.”

Marca also asked what he thought about people speaking of him negatively due to the reported size of the bids coming in for him, as they claim he is not worth it.

He responded: “Well, people say what they want. I am focused on my stuff and that’s it.”

On the transfer rumours, he said: “Whether you want it or not, in the end you find out because it appears everywhere, your family members, your loved ones tell you about it… I always say to move on from that because only I know the truth and in the end I move on from the subject. I have people who work for me and speak on my behalf. I’m calm on that topic, I try to isolate myself from everything because if not, it’s a lot of stress for me, since in the end I’m young.”
