Chelsea have reportedly initiated discussions to secure the signing of Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi, following his impressive performances in the past season.
The 22-year-old, who netted five goals for Dortmund, started on the left wing during their recent Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
According to sources from Germany, particularly Bild, Adeyemi’s displays have captured the attention of Chelsea’s scouting team, prompting the club to make initial contact with the player’s representatives about a potential transfer to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chelsea are now planning to engage in direct negotiations with Borussia Dortmund.
However, Chelsea are not alone in their pursuit; Juventus are also vying for Adeyemi’s signature, which could spark a bidding war.
Dortmund, aware of the growing interest and have reportedly set a price tag of €30 million (£25.3 million) for the young winger.
Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is reportedly attracting interest from a top club in Spain.
Gallagher was a key player for Chelsea last season under Mauricio Pochettino, but reports have claimed Chelsea are willing to sell to balance the books.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Atletico Madrid have genuine interest in Conor Gallagher.
He wrote on X: “Understand Atlético Madrid remain the most interested club in Conor Gallagher this summer.
“Atléti have made contact with Chelsea for Gallagher as he’s one of the names in the shortlist. Not an easy deal as still expensive — but Atlético interest is genuine.”
Reports also claim Chelsea have rejected a bid of €20m from Atletico Madrid for Conor Gallagher.
