Chelsea legend Pat Nevin has named his dream signing for Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea have been quite active in the summer transfer window, having already welcomed five new players to Stamford Bridge, with additional arrivals anticipated.

Tosin Adarabioyo, Estevao Willian (joining in 2025), Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have all completed moves to Chelsea but Nevin is hoping this special player joins Chelsea this summer.

Speaking to Genting Casinos, Nevin said: “My dream signing for Chelsea this summer is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. He’s a great player with a great personality and he’s old school and modern at the same time.

“He’s doing it for Georgia and Napoli, put him in a top team and he could be extra special. I’d love to see him playing in the Premier League. Absolutely love it.

“If Chelsea can make one big signing, that would be the one. He’s skilful, he dribbles, he runs with the ball, he’s good in the air, he takes players on. You name it. He also does it while smiling and loving every second of it.”

Kvarataskhelia might replace Mykhailo Mudryk at Stamford Bridge, as the Ukrainian has struggled to meet expectations since his £88.5 million transfer in January 2023.

Nevin questioned whether Mudryk would remain at Chelsea beyond this summer.

Nevin added: “I have no idea what sort of Chelsea team we could see by the start of next season, could Mudryk be gone too? There’s a million different things.

“The upside for every Chelsea fan is that there are good players there.”

Meanwhile, former Chelsea defender William Gallas has slammed Chelsea for splashing so much money to sign Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian.

Gallas believes Chelsea should go for more experienced names, and would rather Chelsea sign Neymar than a teenager from Brazil.

Gallas told Lord Ping: “If I had the money I would’ve preferred to spend it on a player like Neymar. Someone with experience who will know how to adapt very quickly, it’s harder for young players.

“You can say that the money is an investment for the future but the Premier League is much tougher than La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and even the Bundesliga, it’s far more physical.

“It can be hard for players, even for Neymar. Because Neymar needs space and he also needs rest, playing every three games can be really intense.

“But it would be good to see him in the Premier League and fans will love him too, I’m not sure if he could work with Mikel Arteta at Arsenal but Neymar to Chelsea, why not?”
