Man City sign Chelsea player on a long-term deal

Chelsea teenager Ryan McAidoo is set to join Manchester City after completing his medical.

The 16-year-old forward, considered one of Chelsea’s brightest young talents, has decided to move to Manchester City’s academy.

This transfer was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, who noted that City hijacked the deal after strong interest from other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool.

McAidoo has been a standout player for Chelsea’s youth teams and has represented England at the U16 and U17 levels.

Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has made a shocking admission about former Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea signed up Moises Caicedo for a British transfer record fee of £115m last summer.

The Ecuadorian struggled initially to do well at Chelsea, but later turned things around as Chelsea’s form picked up towards the end of the season.

Caicedo has now blamed Pochettino’s tactics for his initial struggles at Chelsea.

Speaking to Alfonso Laso, Caicedo opened up on transitioning from life under Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton to playing a different kind of football under Mauricio Pochettino.

Caicedo said: “With Pochettino, he was big on fitness. That was not the case at Brighton.

“When I arrived at Chelsea it was difficult because at Brighton it was all tactical, tactical, tactical, only with the ball. At Chelsea, it was running, so it was hard for me, but then I adapted little by little.

“It wasn’t good for me because the games are intense. At Brighton, we almost always had the ball, rarely turned it over. At Chelsea, the football was different, so we had to run more.”
