Newcastle United and England fullback Kieran Trippier has spoken highly of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher has had one start and three substitute appearances for England at the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament in Germany.
Trippier has said Conor Gallagher often puts in a lot of work with his energy, which could often get underrated.
Speaking about the midfielder’s qualities, Kieran Trippier said: “You see Conor doing ‘doggies’ at the end … I don’t think people understand how important that is.
“He (Conor) came off at half-time (in Cologne). But it showed his mentality to come on and run for the team, do the ugly stuff that people don’t really see.”
