Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea plan to balance the books, and post sales of some home-grown players as profit.

However, the Athletic report that Gallagher might not be leaving after all.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea ‘have not ruled out’ giving the midfielder a new contract and keeping him at the club.

Conor Gallagher was a rock in midfield last season, and became a key player for Mauricio Pochettino.

The England international made 37 league appearances for Chelsea last twenty, scoring five goals and providing seven assists. He started a large number of games as a captain due to the unavailability of Reece James.
