Chelsea have been surprisingly linked with a move for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

The Blues want to sign a striker this summer, and need a striker with a different profile from Nicolas Jackson.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, via Playback, the deal to bring Alexander Isak to Chelsea is impossible.

Newcastle would only demand a world-record fee to let go of the striker, and the Blues cannot offer that kind of money because of Financial Fair Play.

According to reports, an option of a part-exchange deal could have been feasible, but there is not enough time for it to happen, as the Premier League accounting deadline is June 30.

Negotiations involving several players would involve too much time to beat in such a short period.

Isak was on fire for Newcastle last season as he scored 21 goals and provided two assists in 30 Premier League appearances.
