Chelsea have prevented Enzo Fernandez from participating in this summer’s Olympic games.

Enzo Fernandez wanted to participate in the Paris Olympics this year, and is currently with the Argentina team for the Copa America.

However, Chelsea want the player to be a part of Enzo Maresca’s pre-season.

Enzo Fernandez has admitted he did everything to be available for the Olympics, and has apologised to Javier Mascherano.

He said: “I did everything possible to be in the Olympics, Pochettino had given me the OK, there was a change of coach and the club changed its position.

“I did everything possible to be there. I apologize to Masche, I wanted to be there, I hope it happens another time.”
