Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is now a football manager, and is currently the manager of newly-promoted Serie A side Como.

Known for being a top playmaker during his playing days, Fabregas is expected to do well as a manager.

According to The Athletic, Fabregas is interested in swapping Chelsea defender Alfie Gilchrist, albeit on loan.

The 20-year-old impressed in his debut campaign with the Chelsea senior team, and has also been linked with a move away from loan to gain development.

Championship clubs are interested in signing the Chelsea academy product on loan, but Fabregas is hoping to use his Chelsea connection to secure the deal for Alfie Gilchrist.

Alfie Gilchrist played 11 games for Chelsea last season, and impressed playing as a right-back and centre-back for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
