Chelsea are in the market for a new striker this summer, and the Blues have been linked with Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran.
Jhon Duran emerged as a shock target earlier this month, with Aston Villa demanding a fee in the region of £40 million for the young and unproven striker.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea now hold reservations about the deal.
Chelsea have slowed down talks for two reasons.
Firstly, Chelsea want to make background checks on the Colombia international who has been rumoured to have a questionable character that doesn’t show professionalism.
Also, Chelsea are said to have been put off by the 20-year-old’s wage demands.
As in the case of Michael Olise, Chelsea have shown this summer they will not be held to ransom by any player with exorbitant demands.
